Jazz Cricket Stocks is an SMS game, mirroring the stock exchange concept (“Game”), where you as Virtual Investor trades stock or virtual shares (“Stocks”) of internationally recognized cricket teams. These cricket teams, mirror the role of listed companies on stock exchanges, and you can purchase and/or sell the Stocks of the cricket teams of your choice, by sending SMS. The value of the Stocks is measured in Virtual Currency (“Jazz Points”).


You need to register only once to start playing. Once registered, you will be given an initial amount of Jazz Points, by which you can buy Stocks of the cricket teams of your choice. Your aim of the Game is to make the maximum possible amount of profit as you can, by trading the Stocks of respective cricket teams.

The value of the Stocks of each cricket team will vary according to the following aspects;

1. Performance and success in international matches
2. Demand of the Stocks of various teams

Apart from other effects, the Game allows lower-ranked teams who play against top teams to gain some value e.g. if Zimbabwe plays against Pakistan, both teams’ Stock value will not change significantly, if Pakistan wins with a narrow margin. This is because Pakistan is a much stronger team than Zimbabwe. However, if Zimbabwe wins the match, even with a very narrow margin, Pakistan’s Stock value will fall significantly and Zimbabwe’s Stock value will increase substantially. You can make profit by purchasing the Stocks at a low price and selling it at a higher price.

You can also trade Stocks during a live game, however, all the transactions will take place with a delay of ten (10) minutes. After every over the “Predictor” (which uses a very complex formula), predicts the likely outcome of the match, based on the score at that time and the Stock value will be adjusted according to the said prediction. However, when the match is over, the value of the Stock will reflect the impact of actual result.
